WELCOME TO PREHISTORIC PARADISE:

First off, let me start by saying welcome to Prehistoric Paradise!! My current username is Daspletosaurus, but may change in the future. The purpose of this forum is to provide a clean, safe and comfortable discussion forum about the Jurassic Park franchises possibly most popular game, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis!! But before you can start posting in my forum, we need to know the rules. Please read through these, and get to know the important ones; it could save you from getting banned!!

SECTION 1: BASIC RULES

Spamming:
-------------
Spamming is the process of posting useless items on the forum. Another way of spamming is posting about something in a topic which completley had no menas in the topic of subject. For instance, if i were to ask a question about JPOG, and someone else were to post "I like trainz.", that would be considered spam. Doing iit once will leave you with a verbal warning, doing it again will have you banned for a day, and continuously doing it will increase the ban time. Once you reach the 8th mark, you will be permanetly IP-banned.

Advertising:
----------------
Posting advertisements on the forum is not allowed. Although bots like Google or Bing can often be accused as advertising, they are not doing such; they scan the forums posts to make it easier to look it up on their search engine. Advertising with a memeber, however, will result in a one-week ban. es, we do know you can advertise your forum in your signature and such, but doing it in a topic post is unnaceptable.

Changing your Username:
-----------------------------
At some point in time, you are allowed to change your username. Unlike other sites, which allow you to change it once, we have a different approach. You are allowed to change it as many times as you'd like; i feel we should not be restricted with these 'silly' types of rules. Although we allow this, we DONT allow you to put in curse wrods in a username, so stuff like "s**t" or "f***" and such will not be allowed. If it happens, you will get a 5 day ban.

Site Staff:
---------------
Site staff are a crucial part of Prehistoric Paradise. They are the people who help keep the balance of harmony on the forum in check. FOr instance, moderators are given the ability to ban and unban memebers. RP moderators have the ability to approve and unapprove profiles to the game, and admins can even delete or edit the site entirely. See how crucial they are?

Becoming a Staff Member:
----------------------------
Becoming a member of Prehistoric Paradise staff is quite hard. Yes, you can apply to become an admin or a mod and such, but often at times, you are rejected. The way to becoming a real staff memeber is you have to prove yourself as one. Doing stuf like making and sharing a very neat skin/mod pack, or having known to make awesome fanfiction stories, or be an active RP member, will often make you on the road to a staff member. Now, we do have an age regulation:

RP Moderators have to be at least 12 years of age, have excellent grammar, be an active member, prove yourself for the job, and continue to be active with your job.

Board Moderators have to be at least 14 years of age, have excellent grammar, also be an active member, prove youself worthy for the job, and be an active mod.

Administrators have to be at least 17 years of age, have excellent grammar, also as well be an active, prove youself worthy for the job, and be an active admin and use it responsibly.

Although i am not 17 years or older, i am the creator, and i have an exception. Also, if you have proven yourself worthy, and seem right for the job, acceptions will be made, but will be discussed with myself and the other staff members.


Bumping Old Threads:
----------------------
Although it is not against the rules, you can still be allowed to do it, and it is even encouraged to do so. We only have one rule with this; you have to contribute to the thread. Stuff like "I like that too." or "That's cool", will not be allowed, as it doesnt contribute to the topic.

Respect:
-------------
Respect is a pretty big rule around here, and my motto with respect is that "all members deserve to bre treated with an equal amount of respect, despite what they like or dont like, what they do and dont do and such.". I am working very hard right now to give this forum a reputation of being a respectable forum where veryone is treated equally, and some members are abused. This will not be tolerated, and violators of this rule will be banned for 2 weeks. If you insult a mod, their will be a 3 week ban. If you insult an admin, their will be a 1-month ban. If this continues, you will be IP banned.

Disrespecting members can occur anywhere on the board, even in the PM. Don't think your PM's arent monitored; we're watching ya'll. We read every single PM anybody makes, and we make sure everyone is treated with respect. Signs of disrespect on the board is sayign stuff like "Your idea is stupid because you're stupid!" or "That idea sucks becuase you suck!". This will not be tolerated.

TYPING IN ALL CAPS:
----------------------
Even if it is encouraged that you make a post, try to aviod typin in all caps. Stuff like "THAT'S COOL!!!" or "WHY? WHY SO??" can be considered as yelling to some people. Just a precaution.

Clone Accounts:
-----------------
Are strictly forbidden. Yes, we do know that sometime us staff accidentaly delete one's account, and creating a new account is required, making a new one for no reason is never allowed. Making a new account after being perma-banned will result in an IP-Ban. Although on many occasions one person may have to share a computer with another person who may post on here without your knowledge, it is encouradged that you warn us in advance that someone that is not you may post under your name, as to not cause confusion with the members.

Help Corner & Suggestion Section:
------------------------------------
These can be found in the Embryonic Administration, under InGEN - New's Room. If you would happen to have a question about the forum, have a complaint, or have a few suggestions about how to improve the forum, you may post them their.

Language:
------------
Try to keep your language at a PG-13 level, like in the Jurassic Park movies. Words like "f**k" and s**t" can be typed, but will often be censored automatically by the forums filter. Regardless, it is required that you try to not do this, as it could result in a 2-day ban.

Same Subject Threads:
-----------------------
Although not required, it is encouradged that you search for a topic you may happen to post, as it may already exist. It saves up forum space and time.

Dishonesty and Lies:
-----------------------
If you are proven to have lied about something in a major degree, lies about a discovery, or does not provide proof for such, it will result in an infraction. If this continues it will result in a perma-ban. Other forms of dishonesty, as concealing the fact that you are a banned member, will also result in an IP-ban.

Signature and Avatar Restrictions:
------------------------------------
The maximum size for any picture in a signature is 600x300. We do have exceptions, but only on a very small scale. Suppose you use a picture in your sig which is 600x335. We can allow this, but a picture in a sig that is 700x400 will nto be accepted. You can

either scale it down or choose a different one. The maximum size for an avatar is 250x200. Like the signatue exceptions, exceptions can be made. But if you have a pictre that is 400x400, it will not be accepted, and you can either scale it down or choose another picture. Like the sigs, if you have an avatar that is 255x210, it may be allowed.

Backseat Moderating:
----------------------
Is not allowd. Yes, on some occasions you may accidentaly make a decision only a mod would make, as in "Change it or you'll be banned.", it is heavily encouraged that you double-check your words before posting, as to avoid this. A continuous streak of this will result in a perma-ban.

Going off-Topic:
------------------
We understand that sometimes your post trails off from the subject of topic, but a streak of doing such can result in a 4-day ban to a perma-ban.
